My family and I were lucky enough to live in rural Australia for a year. We often saw road kill kangaroos just as we see white tail deer here in Ohio. Aussies don't like to drive after dark because a bounding eastern gray isn't at fender (wing) level but windshield. We were warned about having a kangaroo come through the windscreen. You know your not in Kansas when the road kill is kangaroos, sulfur crested cockatoos, and galahs. (Even saw a wombat once
