I appreciate all the comments I got on my recent questions about this lever. Leon's picture really got me headed in the right track. This was a pretty easy fabrication, and if anyone has the same problem I had, I'll be glad to run through the process, to maybe save some head scratching.
Basically I had an aftermarket pto with a cable shifter that I thought was out of place in my WDX. The lever looks correct above the cover, and controls the pto with much more dependability than the cable.
I'm thinking of building one for my W300.
