transfer case shift lever, part 2

Thanks to everyone for their comments on my shift lever post. And to Leon for your picture. I am thinking I can build a bracket to provide a pivot point for the shift lever. Rather than try to modify an original, I will get a piece of steel and make the handle. What is the thickness and the width of the shift lever? Thanks. JH
