Test your knowledge: Spring question

OK guys. These two springs came in the glove box of a 1952 PW. The bottom spring is the cowl vent latch spring. What is the upper spring? It is not a hood latch spring or one of the hand brake band springs. I'm pretty sure it's from inside the cab since it is painted body color and not covered with grease. I have wracked my feeble brain and havn't figured it out yet.
