Somebody was talking about making stainless tubes. Don't know if they ever did. Corrosion can't be any worse than with iron inlets and outlets on a brass radiator. A little soluble oil, like for machine tool coolant, added to the radiator water does a lot of good for preventing corrosion. Plus, if the original one "only" lasted 50 years before it rusted out, does it really matter if the replacement only lasts another 50 years? Will there even be gas in 50 years?
