The first car I remember going with my dad to buy was a 67 Chrysler New Yorker with a 440. It handled like a boat, but it could sure go in a straight line. He traded it in on a '69 Oldsmobile with a 455. We went on trip once and he had to pay 47.9 for ethyl in some podunk town. He called it "highway robbery". It was a different world. Wish I had that 440 today, though.
