a 9.00R16 is a 100 series tire so the section
height is the same as the sectional width
except that a 9.00R16 is really a 255/100R16
which is the new metric michelin size for these series of tires even the original 9.00x16 Bias tires were really 10.00x16s
the section height x 2 + the wheel dia = the
overall height
now when it comes to tubes a tube OD must be
less than the inner dia of the tire or the
tube will fold & fail also radial tires put
more stress on tubes so tubes must be lap-spliced rather than butt-spliced.
also remember to talc the tire before installing the tube
