Don't let it get to you, or they win. Some people think they are "entitled" to certain things. The fact that you allow strangers on your property in this sue happy society, impresses me. People don't realize that land owners are allowing them passage on their property as a good neighbors. If I had a chance to drive an ATV through your yard and see some gently used iron, it would be the best part of the trip. As for the picking up after them, I totally understand. There is a snowmobile trail that passes not through but on the border of my fathers property. We are always picking up beer cans and chip bags, sandwich wrappers, as there is convenience store right down the road that caters to the ATV's and snowmobiles. The runs up my fathers long driveway stopped after he posted a few signs "Beware of Dogs", but he still has a few persistent ones.
When I take the horse out on the trails, I usually get dirty looks from the ATV drivers as if they are asking "what the hell are you doing out here" like I have no right to be there.
Hunters are another issue, but they are more respectful and usually go up and ask first, and rarely leave trash.
