Ok, with you on that, remember to get the best out of propane you need to get the compression way up and advance the timing. One "cheat" on the timing we have used with success is rather than have the distributor advance curve strobed, is to set up the vacuum port above the butterfly in the carb. You disconnect the vac from dist, set timing about 5 degrees BTDC, then hook up the vac. Propane likes more advance at startup and idle, but not necessarily more total advance.
