Didn't intend for my post to sound as harsh as it did. Probably the product of a 12 hour day working for the man, "Don't tell us you can't fit 10 lbs. in a 5 lb. bag, just do it!"

I have not seen Power Wagon wheels modified into a greater offset inner like you describe, not to say it has not been done. It would not take much modification before the inner tire would be into the leaf springs.

The most common Budd outers, with the maximum offset were apparently made to be a quick bolt-on, with no other modifications required. Take them off and you are back to a stock Power Wagon. I have old pictures of oil field trucks outfitted with these wheels to gain better floatation through wet lands.

I have seen some of the adaptors that married two stock Power Wagon wheels together into duals. I have even seen adaptors that allowed a more common non-Budd outer dual to be used. The adapter added the needed distance and also changed the bolt pattern to the bigger diameter 5-stud used on most other trucks.
