Clutch adjustment?

Question regarding clutch adjustment. I have a new clutch in my ffpw and I think it needs adjusting. I have a difficult time getting it into gear w/o grinding gears its a 1953 truck. I believe there is a rod to adjust in or out under the driver's side floor pan.
