The current issue of Outdoor Life has an article in the back about a homemade camper shell. It is shown on an 80's Dodge. The article says that it weighs around 250 lbs and cost approximately $300. It is made with plywood using epoxy (similiar to plywood boat building.) The article provides an address to write for plans. Plans are $24. If interested, I could post the address (at work right now.) Looks sharp and the best part is that you could control the amount of quality going in to the project.
