Limp Clutch pedal

My clutch pedal on my 64 W-100 dosen't want to return all the way up on it's own. My Dad and I attempted bleeding the system at the sleeve bleeder screw to no avail. It seems we couldn't get all the air out. I held the clutch down each time to the floor as he crack the bleeder then returned the pedal after closing the bleeder. Any advise would be appreicated, Thanks, Chrissy
