....One of the flatbeds that I did up had 7 inches of clearance between the wheel and the metal edge of the bed and the tires still rubbed when I put weight in the bed and was on uneven ground,,,on real rough ground they rubbed alot!!!....I reccommend 8 or 9 inches above the tires with nothing in the bed (empty) then when you put 900 lbs in the bed the tires wont rub AS bad,,hahahaha...............Britt
