Some MICO brake locks were manual with a small lever on the dash or floor. The lever has a cam that pushes a poppet in. Fluid and/or spring pressure returned it. The electric model had a toggle switch that powered a solenoid that held the poppet valve down. A little dirt in the line (or installing the lines backwards) creates problems and sticks the poppet.
