I have a 1969 W200 with a Dana 60 rear axle. I am getting ready to remove the right rear drum to replace the emergency brake cable. At some point my guess is the cable stopped working, probably rusted solid, and someone cut the cable off at the base of the backing plate. Any suggestions on the easiest way to accomplish this task would be appreciated. I don't know if this makes any difference, but the truck has a limited slip differential and 4:10 gears.
