my '70 W200 Crew Cab was ordered as a "cab & chassis" (and "rear seat delete!)the utility bed had the same number of coats and colors under the broomed on white the sherrifs dept. put on so I'd imagine they went through a specialty shop of some kind before final delivery.

Is your gas tank behind the rear axle?
