Maybe in snow country you want hot air blowing through your cab, not around here. Especially not with tube headers.
My inspiration was the later civvie cab model with the two t/c lever in one slot, like ours. They used one tandem rubber boot with many corrugations. Maybe somebody has a pic of one of those? If the boots are still available, they would be good in the old stuff.
