what is screaming at 50? the tires? they are designed to go 55 at 3200 rpms with stock 36 inch tires. so at 55 you should be below 3000 rpms. I would not consider that screaming. did you put a bigger cam in it? that makes more difference than anything else. stock cams are designed for 70 octane fuel. modern cam grind transforms performance adn results in less down shifting on hills.
