Yes, and thats why I dont have a lot of interest in doing it anymore! My starter locked up a few months after that imersion, I took it apart and it was filled with silt. Hadnt thought to clean it out earlier!
Like I said, been there done that, no more!
My vennts are also plumbed up high, but water still finds its way into places it shouldnt.
