All those hydrogen scams require electricity to turn water into hydrogen. It's not free energy.
The only way you come out ahead is if you use solar(including wind or hydro)energy to produce the electricity.
Hydrogen is harder to tote around than, energy-dense liquid fuel.
I say cut out the electric and gasesous conversion steps and let the sun create energy-dense liquid fuel that is nontoxic and biodegradable. Lipids (vegetable oil and animal fat) are one of nature's most elegant forms of storing energy. Modify them slightly into biodiesel, and conventional diesel engines love it!
