I found it funny that they chose to drive that excavator through the stream too. I was once told to never drive where you can't see unless there are no other options. In the end they trashed the final drive on the track that was deepest in the stream. Makes for good television, I guess.
The thing I like is the "fact pop up" that the Discovery Channel put up on one episode that read: one ton of gold bearing dirt usually yeilds $300 worth of gold, where one ton of cell phones has about $5000.
My numbers may be off a little, but the statement was off enough to make me wonder why people aren't scavenging for old cell phones more often.
