OK the switch may be a 3 speed switch but it must have a resistor to drop the voltage to the motor to give you 3 speeds. some have it built in others do not and there is another part. I did respond to you lower post, Time to get the volt meter out. Bill PS you do not need to use a resister, can run it full speed on an off. But if want the 3 speeds its needed.
