Here's my son's 1954 1-ton dually with the original 9 foot bed. Outside dually wheels and tires were removed to fit on trailer. Tailgate is in the barn.
The dually wheel has studs that use a conical lug nut and the bolt holes on the wheels are indexed to align the valve stems.
Note: The running board width fits the single wheel fender and there's a piece to make the running boart line up with the fender with the dually extention.
This is a little OT but there are always some questions when ever the 9 foot beds are discussed.
I thought some of you might be interested.
