Jim, add the words, "At first..." to the beginning of my post. My whole message was that the wisdom of my friend helped me get past my first emotion based reaction.
It is pretty clear that they stole Power Wagon parts BECAUSE there were no other parts to steal.
Realizing that they may have located the trucks - and a way through the trees across three properties - by using an internet resource available to everyone meant that I could continue to share my enjoyment of this great hobby without thinking that every Museum visitor was "casing the joint".
It is easy to jump to wrong conclusions when you are upset. It is nice to have your faith in your friends validated by thinking the whole thing through.
