Yea, it would be nice to hear from him, I remember it well but have not seen or heard from him since way back then. He was probably 10 or 12 years older than me, I was in my early twenties or so, and I am 60 now.
He bought the late model ring and pinions(new) tc gears and 420 gears from the dealer(they were quite a bit higher) after he cleaned out Houston truck and equipment of their new surplus later model stuff and had a pretty good stock of it
Are you aware the late model pinions came without the hole for the cotter pin and a locking nut, that could only be used one time.
I am not really worried about it and sure the older stuff is good enuff, post 60 stuck in my mind but it may have gone back to late 50s, still it is an interesting topic
