Here I sit for at least the 5th year, waiting for New Years to be over. The wife and I were in bed by 9 as we usually are and the fireworks started around 9:30. Our golden retriever is 13 and has a terrible time with the noise so she goes pretty crazy. So we both get out of bed, cuddle with the dog in the garage (she [the dog] seems to feel safer there it seems) and she settles down.
It's now 11 pm, the wife has gone back to bed, the dog is sleeping at my feet in the garage,and I'm wide awake sending out a post to you guys knowing at least 90% of you are also asleep. Sigh...and the big noises won't really start for another hour so we'll soon start the scene again.
