When I was a kid, growing up in Elsinore, Ca., there was an auto dealer that used to dump their takeoff parts in a ditch next to the building. There were hundreds of old carburetors, fuel pumps, etc. that got tossed. The ditch was a drainage that eventually made it's way to the Lake. Today they would hang them for the pollution.
