When my wife was pregnant with our 3rd one (of four), I had a contract to build a shop building in St. Maries, Id., which was a 3 hour drive from Sandpoint, each way. I chose to commute each day, since I did not want to risk missing my son's birth. No matter how many you have, they should not be missed.
Not to mention the very small possibility of complications.
