For field repairs on 65+ year old vehicles, I carry the following:
TOOLS
• Set of screwdrivers
• Set of pliers to include needle nose and cutters
• Set of open and boxed end wrenches
• Small/large crescent wrench
• Set of feeler gauges
• Point file and flexstone
SUPPLIES
• 2 feet of mechanics wire
• 6 feet electrical wire
• 1 roll of 3M black electrical tape
• 1 tube of point lube
• 1 tube of silicone gasket maker
PARTS
• Dist. Cap
• Dist. Rotor
• Dist. Points
• 1.5 feet of 3/8ths fuel injection rubber hose
• Fuel pump
• 2 axle hub gaskets
Make out of that what you want, but driving out of town, and going into remote places requires being practical.
