Putting a '70 LU2 on a '77 - frame width dif

Drove the Crewcab home. Short, fun trip - wish every rig I find could be a mile away like this one. Nothing better than firing up a relic that's been sitting for years.
I was surprised to see how much narrower the front frame (30") is than the '70 donor (34"). It's true, I didn't do much homework, I just had to have the truck.
I haven't been around these new-fangled Dodges much - curious if they used the same type of extensions with brackets to fill in the difference, or is the whole winch frame narrower?
