swapping transmissions - help

I am running the later 251 motor in my B4 PW. I coupled it to my original bell housing so I could use my original 2nd series transmission. I really would like to not use this gearbox. Its difficult to make smooth gear changes even when I double clutch. The bell housing that came with the 251 is in storage. I imagine I can swap out the old bell housing for this one and attach a 3rd series synchro gear box? Is that one the one that goes with the M37? If all is true, what would I expect to pay for a rebuilt 3rd series trainsmission?
