It's funny. In the '80s and early '90s the winters were warm, the lower ski hills barely had enough snow, and a Thanksgiving opening was something the old-timers talked about, but nobody blamed it on global warming. Now we're back to "normal" weather, or at least what I remember as a kid, and everybody blames it on "climate change". I've been reading that global warming is way worse in the arctic, but today Fairbanks just had its record low for the date, 41 below (cold enough to freeze the mercury).
We've got a couple inches of snow in Wallace today, but nothing like the big storm they predicted. I probably ought to fire up the M37 I haven't driven since June and put some chains on it and see how far I can get up in the hills. It looks like the forecast is for a little snow off and on for the duration but nothing dramatic.
