If you are asking if Dodge made a Town Wagon or Town Panel as a W200 (4wd 3/4 ton) or a D200 (2wd 3/4 ton, the answer is yes. But I have only ever seen one. It is a 1960 W200 with two or three full SERT tags on the door detailing the changes. It was a government truck, so it is possible that there was more than one ordered. That is the picture you see attached to this post.
But officially Dodge only made W100 (1/2 ton 4wd) and D100 (1/2 ton 2wd) Town Wagons and Town Panels. All the ones I have checked (except for that one) have been marked as 100s on their tags.
That being said, in 1961-66 the only difference between a W100 and a W200 was the springs, both models used the same standard axles. So if someone ordered a 1966 W100 Town Wagon with heavy duty springs (which the government did), it would basically be a W200 in equipment if not in name.
The D100s were supposed to get 5 bolt axles in 1961-66, but I have seen a few with the 8 lug axles from a 3/4 ton D200. Yet all of those 8 lug Town Wagons were still D100 on the tag.
In fact in 1966 the government ordered a fleet of heavy duty W100 Town Wagons with the following equipment:
3500 lb "big knuckle" Dana 44
Heavy duty springs
4 speed
1 ton drive shaft yokes
V8
LU2 winch
External turn signals
Heavy duty cooling
I am sure I missed a few options, but those are the big ones. By the specs they are nearly the same as a 1966 W200 Crew Cab built for the Air Force or something, but the door tag still says W100.
The way I look at it that makes them a W200 in all but name, but because Dodge chose to call them W100s (like the 8 lug 2wds were still D100s) the answer to your question is no.
I have never seen a D200 Town Panel or Town Wagon, only that one W200 and it was obviously a limited special item.
Does that answer your question?
Eric
