There was a guy at the 20th Iowa Rally with a W300 Crewcab with his sons with him. I want to say they drove it from Alabama. They pulled the regular wheels off and mounted a set of those V treads on it and spent the whole time in the mud, having a blast. At the end of the Rally they put the road wheels back on and I believe they drove it home!
Pretty cool.
