I've taken the last couple months off from the PW resto and stocked a couple guns. M14s in Myrtle, and Winchester M-94 i fancy walnut.
THEN I found this rare and antique patternmaker's vise at the Old Tool Swap Meet Sunday. I couldn't pass it up. It's HUGE, jaws are 18x7, it opens 14".
Sand blasted, used some of the Dodge paints to epoxy prime, then Urethane satin black. And gun blued the moving parts. And made some linkage parts.
Red paint is from a spay can, sprayed into a cap and brushed on.
Dodge content: I sure can use it as an 18" sheet metal brake...
