Getting old I guess. Sometimes, I have to read posts several times before I understand what is being asked.
Changing the shutoff point on your compressor will not change the volume of air it is capable of delivering at any given pressure. The compressor will automatically (laws of physics) deliver more volume as the pressure drops.
My original comments regarded making a decision between buying two different 5 HP compressors: One with a higher PSI maximum or one with a higher CFM rating.
