Dont't knock a rice burner (true they are made in Japan) but I have one 1999 4Runner that is my daily driver, it has 624,000 mile on the original engine, transmission, front end and rear end. (also have 1966 Dodge WM300, 2004 Dodge 1-ton Dually and a 2004 Chrysler PT cruiser). I will only allow the dealer to work on it. It has never stranded me on the side of the road like some domestic cars and trucks do.
