Brian. I would contact VPW right away, and, based on this thread, which I am sure Dave is following, they should give you a refund, or at least trade you the correct wood kit.
I recently built some for my '46 based on the dimensions that Clint has posted in the past. I found them in the archives. If you have some clamps, glue, a table saw and a drill and access to some white oak, you can build your own.
