the safest easiet set up i have used is a stock style jack with the folding handle and a piece of 4x4 or 6x6. The long handle makes it so I dont have to get underneath the truck like you would with a hydraulic bottle jack. mechanical is just a better suited design. Also to get a good reliable bottle jack it would cost at least as much as buying a perfect stock style jack. I have been through 4 chinesse bottle jacks last year while jacking my house up. I now have no chinese bottle jacks.
