I have used a bottle jack like others but also euse a hi-lift jack they are popular with jep owners. The one I have is 60" I have used it to lift my 59 w200 and the rear of a d300 with a wrecker bed it lifted it with no problem. While will not reach the frame it lifts from the bumper well.
