Since you dont care about being original, you do have some options.
Living down south, you dont have to deal with snow/ice/slush/freezing rain. I suggest you go to a marine dealer and find a marine wiper moror that is near the size of your present bosch motor. You may or may not be able to use the wiper motor cover on the valance.
As Tom mentioned follow his search for wipers, there is a lot of reading, with no real answer so far for northern climates.
