the rod piston problem probably put a hole in the cylinder causing coolant to pour right into pan.
POwer WAgons and WCs have just a quarter inch piece of something soft in between the frame pad and bellhousing ear, then a long bolt up from the bottom with a about a 4 inch spring over it, then a flat washer, then a castle nut nad cotter pin. I thought M37s were the same way.
