I took the parts out of a scrap passenger side door. Welded the socket in. Then the tough part was to heat up and 'invert' the little box that held the parts. Needed to re-bend all the 90° angle the other way. It works fine.
BUT BE CAREFUL- even the stock pass side- if locked form the inside, the key won't open them form the outside, and if locked from the outside, a rider can't unlock from the inside. Kids can lock Daddy out, and if you don't leave a window open, your dog can lock you out too. That little bitch. ;^)
