You can be in both worlds. I use my W500 to pull my horse trailer. The winch came in handy more than once in pulling trucks with horse trailers out of muddy fields.
I play polocrosse (take a look at www.americanpolocrosse.org). It's a blast! Maybe you could start a club down there. The closest one I know of is in South Carolina.
