After considerable thought, I believe it would be really difficult to do. The bottom sections of the fender ends are side specific, from what I can tell, and just won't swap sides. Unfortunately, these same bottom ends are usually what get torn up the worst. Now, if someone out there would only tool up to stamp out right side fenders for less than $20.00 each. I did buy some of the left side fenders from Dana Collins of Army Surplus Warehouse to try just what you proposed, but to no avail.
