Yeah, the front suspension seems really weak compared to the rear. My 78 with Dana 44 front has 3 leaves in the front, with stacks of 12 on the rear??
I have also inquired about locking hub kits, but the response I got was that it wasn't worth it. Dodge is extremely expensive (upwards of $450) if you can even find them at all. Most of the guys said to stay with the full time 4x4 anyway, because it is a good setup and the manual hubs would only give 2 mpg better at best.
So, now what I plan to do is switch to the gear driven NP205 T-case to save some weight, and get a 2 wheel drive option.
I just sold a Dana 60 front rear, why I didn't keep it I still haven't figured out???
