Most of that era Dodges came with negative arch front springs. Any of the new 2" springs will be a big improvement. As for swapping out the front to hubs, what to you want to do whit the truck. If your not going to lift it much I woudnt swapp them till they go out. If you grease them witha grease gun like your are supposed to they will last a long time.
If you are going to lift it and stuff then look for any early 80 to mid 80 dodge or chevy 3/4 with an 8 lug dana 44 front.
Get all the parts from the knuckles out.
ou might get lucky and find a Dodge with a NP 205. As for the Dana 60, depending on your area can be hard to find, but worth it if you are gona run big big tires and really use the truck.
