I always use soapy water to lube the gasket when pitting it on the windshield frame. Take your time, dont try to stretch it to much or you will end up with a lot of slack.

Once I have the gasket properly installed, I close the windshield very tight and place the truck facing into the sun for a week or so. This sort of trains the gasket where/how to lay. I have never had a leak.
