I dont have close ups that really show what it is. The ceramic material is 1.0" thick with a heavy aluminum foil face. I wrapped it around the down pipe and used aluminum tape to hold it in place.

The composition of the ceramic material is very dense. Think of regular foil face fiberglass insulation, but the ceramic is 10's of times more dense. Its also very heavy in weight.
